Martha A. Connolly, Partner, has an extensive commercial litigation practice focusing on construction law. She represents a broad range of clients, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and sureties in the areas of construction litigation and commercial contract law, including mediation and arbitration, contract negotiation, risk management, suretyship and other subjects relating to the construction industry. Martha’s practice includes the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial contracts and the provision of comprehensive risk management counseling and services for her clients.

Martha maintains an extensive representation of contractors throughout the United States. Her notable cases include the successful representation of an electrical contractor seeking recovery from a general contractor for damage to its work on a public project; a significant recovery for a general contractor wrongfully terminated on a private project; and a successful negotiation with a public owner eliminating substantial liquidated damages against a contractor-client in relation to the late completion of an airport project. She conducts lectures on a variety of construction topics, and has authored or co-authored articles on subjects relating to the construction industry.

Martha Connolly is admitted to, and practices in, the State and Federal Courts of New York and Connecticut. She graduated from the University of Rochester and received her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University.  She is a member of the American Bar Association and a member of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section and the Forum on the Construction Industry.
